Virginia Honors Choir Auditions are October 1 at Longwood College in Farmville, VA. Open only to seniors, this very selective, highly competitive honors chorus is comprised of approximately 135 of the best singers throughout the state. Information regarding the audition process,  forms, audition music and audio file, and fees can be found at www.vcda.net, and click on the honors choir tab. All registration forms and fees must be turned into Mr. Johnson by Friday, September 2.

Singers must audition using the required artsong found on the site. An accompanist will be provided. This is a live audition, performed in front of two university choral/voice professors. It is followed by a sightreading audition, which counts for 20% of the total score, therefore it is expected that each singer sightread well!

This is for the experienced singer only. It is not intended for anyone who would just like the "experience" of the audition, but may not have the sightreading skills or the vocal expertise to perform the art song.  Please speak with Mr. Johnson for more information..
